**Clusters Implementation**: Cluster networking for rented machines within the same datacenter, optimized for ML tasks. Users can create virtual clusters for distributed training, reducing costs by up to 70% compared to centralized clouds and enabling complex workloads like large-scale model fine-tuning.

**VPN Service Improvements**: Updated Android client app and web browser extension for streamlined VPN access. Additional enhancements capitalize on rising demand for privacy tools in restricted regions.

**Migration from L1**: Migration from Layer 1 to Layer 2 infrastructure addresses the evolved state of the crypto market. The L1 architecture served its purpose in 2022: establishing a truly fair launch, maintaining independence from VC control, and providing a low-cost transaction foundation.

The market has since consolidated around major chains where liquidity, users, and volume concentrate. Continuing to operate an isolated L1 misallocates resources that deliver greater value elsewhere.

This migration provides measurable benefits:

- Redirects L1 maintenance expenditures to marketing and user acquisition initiatives
- Eliminates premium exchange integration fees (3-5x higher for L1s), reallocating capital to token buybacks and liquidity provision
- Aligns infrastructure with current investor evaluation criteria favoring established ecosystem integration
- Removes a barrier to institutional participation requiring multi-chain compatibility

This is a strategic reallocation of resources to maximize platform growth and token value.

**Staking System updates:** Introduce a flexible staking model that reduces the staking threshold of OCTA tokens. This democratizes participation, enhances liquidity, and rewards long-term holders with competitive yields, directly boosting token demand.

**Optimization and Ecosystem Maturity**

Service refinements ensuring operational excellence and user satisfaction, solidifying OctaSpace's reputation for reliability and establishing the foundation for continued expansion.

- ✓ **Render Farm Improvements**:
  - **Charge Only for Successful Frames**: Pay-for-success billing model where users are charged solely for rendered frames meeting quality standards, minimizing financial risk for creators and studios.
  - **Rework Upload/Download System**: Streamlined file handling with faster, more secure transfers using decentralized storage protocols, reducing latency and improving efficiency.
  - **Better UI for Node Selection**: Enhanced interface with AI-driven recommendations, real-time performance metrics, and customizable filters for improved user experience across the render farm.

**What This Means for Investors**

Every initiative in this roadmap drives measurable value for token holders and platform participants. This is a strategic plan for capturing market share in multiple high-growth sectors.

Confidential computing and enterprise Docker support establish institutional revenue streams previously inaccessible to decentralized platforms. The Hugging Face integration positions OctaSpace within the AI infrastructure market where demand significantly outpaces supply. Layer 2 migration improves platform economics by reducing costs and increasing transaction throughput.

**Our 2026 Targets**

- 2x increase in active nodes contributing computing power
- Strategic partnerships with leading AI platforms and development tools
- Significant reduction in operational costs transferred directly to users through competitive pricing

Community audits, beta testing phases, and strategic marketing campaigns will maintain engagement with our growing user base and investor community throughout 2026.

[title] Custom docker images

[title] Introduction
[path] Rendering (OctaRender)/

**Link to OctaRender platform: **[https://cube.octa.computer/render](https://cube.octa.computer/render)

**OctaRender** is a bespoke, custom-built rendering platform for Blender, engineered from the ground up to leverage the massive compute power of the **OctaSpace** network. Built on the core principles of a fully decentralized architecture, OctaRender introduces a paradigm shift in how digital artists, studios, and technical directors handle rendering pipelines.

Packed with advanced features developed directly *by artists, for artists*, the platform eliminates traditional infrastructure bottlenecks. By dynamically distributing complex rendering workloads across a global, decentralized network of high-performance nodes, OctaRender offers unprecedented flexibility, speed, and reliability without the overhead of traditional cloud services.

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/RMQHrVhQ-ycpo9YUb5IKd_428shots-so.png)

## What makes OctaRender unique?

Traditional centralized rendering platforms typically operate as "black boxes." Users upload their project files but have limited visibility or control over the specific hardware allocated to their renders. Additionally, centralized systems are often highly rigid, frequently lacking native support for complex scene dependencies such as custom Blender add-ons, complex geometry nodes, or external simulation caches.

OctaRender alters this approach by functioning as an on-demand, dedicated render farm where the user retains full configuration control.

### Hardware and Budget Management

Instead of relying on automated, fixed resource allocation, you define the parameters of your rendering environment. The platform allows you to choose the type of hardware, specify the number of nodes assigned to your active jobs, and set your budget constraints. This allows for precise control over the balance between rendering speed and cost.

### Real-Time Scalability

To accommodate changing deadlines or project scopes, OctaRender supports on-the-fly resource adjustments. You can scale your allocated node count up or down dynamically while your workloads are currently processing, allowing you to add or remove compute power as needed.

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/MBJhJcAzeGfYYXf0rf6uI_54shots-so.png)

### Advanced Dependency Support

The platform is designed to mirror local workstation capabilities on distributed hardware. It includes native support for advanced Blender configurations, ensuring that add-ons, intricate geometry node setups, and other scene dependencies execute correctly across the network without requiring manual workarounds.

### Distributed Infrastructure Economics

Because the underlying OctaSpace network utilizes decentralized infrastructure, nodes are supplied by independent hosting providers located globally. This distributed model creates an open marketplace for compute power, which prevents centralized pricing premiums and ensures competitive, market-driven rates for rendering tasks.

[title] Monetary Policy
[path] Cryptocurrency/

OCTA serves as the native coin of the OctaSpace project, acting as the primary payment instrument for services, rewarding node owners, and distributing dividends to OCTA holders.

OctaSpace was launched with a fair distribution model, ensuring that no Coins were pre-mined or pre-allocated to any individuals or entities, including the project team. This means that all OCTA coins are distributed through mining and other mechanisms, allowing for a decentralized and equitable distribution of tokens.

## Emissions Schedule

The provided emissions schedule showcases the gradual reduction of block rewards in each era, culminating in the attainment of the maximum supply and the cessation of mining activities after block 12,000,000 when the max supply of 48,000,000 coins will be reached. Our monetary policy outlines the allocation of blocks for miner and staking rewards, as well as the development fund, ensuring a balanced distribution.

In general the node, aka octa-node is a computer with available of CPUs, GPUs, memory and disk space.

Octa Nodes are the foundation of our compute marketplace, providing the necessary computational power to meet the demands of heavy tasks. These computers are equipped with a blend of CPUs, GPUs, memory, and disk space that allows them to handle heavy and distributed workloads with ease. The nodes are connected to the OctaSpace network, which enables them to seamlessly work together to deliver optimal performance and efficiency...

## Software requirements

The following OS and system architectures are supported:

| **OS/Arch**   | **x86\_64** | **aarch64** |
| ------------- | ----------- | ----------- |
| Ubuntu 20.04  | X           | -           |

| HiveOS Stable | X           | -           |

## System requirements

### VPN

Minimal system requirements for VPN nodes

- 1 CPU
- 1 Gb RAM
- 5 Gb free disk space
- Static IPv4 address

### Compute

Minimal system requirements for Compute nodes

- 8 CPU cores
- 32 Gb RAM
- 500 Gb free disk space
- GPU NVIDIA RTX 30 Series

### Rendering

:::hint{type="info"}
Rendering is an intensive process which utilizes not just GPU's but **all system resources **in the processing and rendering frames.
:::

If you wish your node to support rendering services there are more specific requirements you need to pay attention to.

**RAM requirements**

Depending on the VRAM and number of GPU's, you will need to ensure you scale your RAM accordingly.

***The rule is:***

**VRAM x GPU’s x 2 for RAM**

For example a node with 2 x RTX 4090 (24GB VRAM) would require minimum of 96GB RAM (24 x 2 x 2).

**CPU requirements**

The CPU plays a critical role in pre-processing of the render and compiling shaders as well as managing the workloads between the GPU's and therefore needs to have sufficient cores to support and scale with the GPU's.

The optimal CPU should have 8 cores per GPU.

:::hint{type="warning"}
Lower core CPU's are still supported, however will reduce the efficiency of the rendering process.

[title] Where to buy OCTA?
[path] Guides/Guides for obtaining OCTA on exchanges/

While we are working to make topping up easy with the introduction of card payments, for now, OCTA must be purchased through exchanges.

This may seem like a daunting task, but it’s relatively simple. We’ve partnered with various exchanges that support multiple countries while remaining compliant with all local laws and regulations.

[title] Features
[path] Rendering (OctaRender)/

OctaRender includes a comprehensive suite of features designed to provide flexible, native support for complex artistic workflows. The platform minimizes manual pipeline preparation by handling scene evaluation and dependency packaging automatically.

# Core Compatibility

## Blender Versions

The platform actively detects and natively supports multiple production versions of Blender:

- Blender 4.5
- Blender 5.0
- Blender 5.1

### Supported Render Engines

OctaRender supports production-standard internal deployment for both core Blender rendering engines: **Cycles **and **EEVEE.**

## Blender Feature Integration

### Full Add-on Support

The platform natively handles custom add-ons within the network environment, from utility action tools to complex generative systems. The client automatically parses your scene file to detect active add-ons, drivers, custom nodes, and linked libraries, pre-selecting the correct runtime flags before pushing the job to the farm.

### Asset & Dependency handling

OctaRender automatically traces and consolidates project assets. It aggregates local resources; including textures, geometry node structures, OpenVDB files, and localized simulation caches.

- **Cloud Integrations:** Dependencies hosted on cloud storage networks (such as Dropbox) are automatically identified and fetched during parsing.
- **Validation:** All assets are packaged into a unified pipeline upload bundle. If a critical dependency is broken or missing locally, the client throws a warning prior to submission.

### Custom OCIO Color management

The system scans your local workspace configuration for OpenColorIO (OCIO) implementations. If custom color spaces, LUTs, or institutional pipelines (such as ACES) are used, the custom configs are automatically bundled and mirrored across all rendering nodes.

### Simulation & Fluid Support

Distributed nodes natively support heavy physics baking and simulation caches. For toolsets like FLIP Fluids, the client packages the baked domain caches directly with the job file, ensuring complex simulations compute accurately across independent network segments.

### Multi-layer

Full pipeline support for multi-layer EXR output setups. Arbitrary Render Layers and Arbitrary Output Variables (AOVs); such as Ambient Occlusion, Cryptomattes, or Diffuse passes routed via File Output nodes are preserved and compiled as intended.

### Output Formats

Frames are rendered in PNG, JPEG or EXR format.

## Other features

- Persistence engine increasing rendering speeds across node by 30%
- Multi-GPU and dynamic scaling in real-time
- Real-time analytics and monitoring
- Thumbnail & EXR preview generation
- Per-scene / per-view-layer render previews
- Single sign-on authentication
- Multi-version blender detection and support
- Live logging
- Fast upload and download via addon and intefrace
- 7 Day Render retention

And many others.

[title] Virtual Machines (KVM)
[path] Hosting/

# Overview

Virtual Machine instances are recommended when Docker containerized environments do not satisfy application requirements, such as the need for direct GPU access or complete Linux operating system functionality, including systemd or Docker.

:::hint{type="warning"}
Since users have direct access to the GPU during rental, they can modify parameters such as memory and core clocks, as well as the power limit.
:::

# Configuration

### Hardware requirements

- The machine must be a bare-metal system rather than a virtual machine
- The CPU and chipset must support Intel **VT-d** or **AMD-Vi**

### BIOS

Ensure that **Virtualization** and **IOMMU** are enabled in the BIOS.
It is also recommended to enable **Above 4G Decoding** and **Resize BAR Support**

### Operation System

The preferred operating system is Ubuntu 24.04 Server without a graphical interface.
It is critical that GPU passthrough functions correctly, ensuring that no other processes have access to the GPU.
Drivers for integrated graphics, such as **nouveau** or **amdgpu** should be blacklisted.

# Enable VM

By default, the VM feature is enabled during node software installation. To manually check or enable it, run the following command:

```shell
curl https://install.octa.space/vm | bash
```

If the VM and GPU passthrough are configured correctly, this will be indicated on the node page in CUBE:

[title] Start your render
[path] Guides/Rendering/

Once the render has been submitted or is in the process of being submitted, you need to facilitate the hardware you want to use to render.

OctaRender works in a distributed fashion, where one or more machines can render your work based on your scale and needs.

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/d4AiXnb61SHA4Qaa3ykcn_image.png)

When choosing the hardware you want to use, you can consider using the following:
(1) Hardware combination or Blender Scores

(2) Price in equivalent USD or OCTA

(3) Filtering

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/z4TaZt5MCG6AP1DnfwyuF_image.png)

Sorting by Blender scores is a great way to identify machines with good rendering performance as certain hardware combinations can be more efficient at rendering than others.

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/iv11D2ARv3Ezhq2Aq3BYg_image.png)

Browse through the marketplace and choose one or more nodes to render on. As in the below example, we can choose 2 machines and clicking rent will distribute the frames across those machines. There is no limit to how many machines you can rent at once (Prices are per hour).

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/yU82h0tqkIrlZLau5Lpoe_image.png)

Once you've clicked rent, as soon as the render has been uploaded it will begin distributing and rendering across your rented machines

[title] Staking
[path] Cryptocurrency/

## Requirements

- Collateral - 100\_000 OCTA
- Node reliability for last 30 days >= 90%
- Node must be verified

## Reward distribution scheme

The billing period is 1 week (every 7 days).

Amount of reward depends on how much staking nodes already activated, how much blocks mined (may vary due to block time), what hardware installed on node and what services provided by it.

In case if no services provided, node will receive only base reward (60%)

If block time is always 15 seconds then the following amount of blocks would be mined:

- 1 minute - 4
- 1 hour - 240
- 1 day - 5760
- 1 week - 40320

In this calculation we will use reward amount for Arcturus and Oldenburg eras where 1.5 OCTA from each block going to staking fund.

The total amount of coins mined for 1 week would be 60480 OCTA.

Let’s assume we have 10 nodes up and running, then the 60480 OCTA would be distributed across they in the following proportion:

- 60% (base reward) - 36240 OCTA, 3624 for each node
- 10% (vpn reward) - 6040 OCTA, 604 for each node which provide VPN service
- 10% (rent reward) - 6040 OCTA, 604 for each node which provide renting service
- 20% (gpu reward) - 12080 OCTA, 1208 for each node which provide renting service with GPU

In case of no nodes for which needs to distribute 40% (except base reward) the coins will be left in staking fund for the next round.

Most profitable variant is to have node with GPU and which provides both services. Such node will be rewarded by 6040 OCTA per week and also additional payments for services usage.

## How to configure

- Install the node
- Configure it by setting up prices, turn on/off VPN service providing, specify ports and so on…
- In **CUBE **in **Staking** menu choose your node and specify your wallet address with balance 100\_000 OCTA or more

Wallet address must be unique per node, staking rewards will be sent to this address so be sure you have full access to it.

## How it works in a nutshell

When node and staking are configured the system will start periodic checks of node availability and monitoring wallet balance. If the system detects that a wallet balance is less than 100\_000 OCTA then staking for this node will be deactivated.

Be aware about your node uptime, it’s a very important metric, nodes which have uptimes less than 95% for the last 30 days will not be rewarded.

:::hint{type="warning"}
If the system detects a balance below 100,000 on an already activated node, the node and wallet pair will be suspended for a 30-day period.

[title] Troubleshooting
[path] Rendering (OctaRender)/

While OctaRender is an extremely robust platform, each render is unique in its composition and issues may arise. In this section, we will cover how to diagnose these issues and outline your next steps.

Issues most commonly manifest themselves in the form of errored frames. These can be easily identified on the platform, both on the project timeline as well as the frames grid, where they are highlighted with a red indicator tag

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/gSUeqube4Mf9ayhUjc8M7_image.png)

## Diagnosing Frame Errors

1. **View Error Summaries:** Clicking directly on any errored frame card will update the main viewport to display the high-level error state (e.g., *"blender session ended unexpectedly"*), helping you instantly see which frame failed and on which specific worker host.

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/XTkQGIfK-EsF1akwjhZ9s_image.png)

2. **Inspect Detailed Logs:** To diagnose further, click on the **LOGS** toggle tab directly underneath the main viewer canvas.

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/PJKFk-Wa2sQnCnVMQ4vOJ_image.png)

3. **Analyze Root Causes:** This action expands the inline **Task Logs** terminal layout at the bottom of the dashboard. Here, you can review the actual execution outputs, memory profiles, and stack traces directly from the remote node container to pinpoint exactly what caused the processing disruption.

### Common causes

The most common cause of an errored frame is that the hardware node (or nodes) you have rented lacks sufficient system RAM or VRAM to handle the complexity of your Blender scene. Alternatively, an individual provider node may occasionally experience a localized system fault.

If you encounter an error, use the following isolation steps to get your render back on track:

**Step 1: Re-queue the Affected Frames**

Select the errored frames directly from your grid or timeline and click the global **"Requeue"** action button at the top of the interface. This pushes the tasks back into the network pool.

**Step 2: Identify the Problematic Node**

If the frames fail a second time, you will need to pinpoint the exact worker instance causing the bottleneck:

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/CFVZpgHOrmHZPI_hxoyki_image.png)

1. Click on the specific frame tile that returned an error.
2. Click the **Frame Info Icon** on your toolbar layout to open the sidebar.
3. This action reveals the **Frame Details** panel, which lists the exact **Node ID** responsible for executing that specific task block.

**Step 3: Terminate the Node Session**

Once you have copied the faulty Node ID:

1. Navigate away from the project view and head to the **Render Nodes** workspace under **Render** > **Render Nodes**.
2. Locate the matching machine block using the unique Node ID you identified.
3. Click the termination action button on that card to drop the lease and stop your active session with that provider.

Our orchestration system will automatically spin down that unit and redirect your outstanding queue items to healthy, capable hardware slots on the network.

## Diagnosing Failed submission

Should you experience an issue while trying to pack or submit your project from the addon, you will need to gather your local environment data before contacting support. Prior to raising a support issue, make sure to capture the direct error logs from inside Blender so our team can diagnose the issue quickly.

How to Retrieve Blender Console Logs

1. In Blender's top menu bar, navigate to **Window** > **Toggle System Console**.
2. A command-line terminal window will pop open displaying the background processes of the addon.
3. Highlight and copy the complete text output leading up to the submission failure.

[title] OctaRender Addon
[path] Rendering (OctaRender)/

The OctaRender addon is your primary control panel for your project prior to submitting it to the render farm. All specific parameters; from output file formats and asset dependencies to custom add-ons and preview thumbnail configurations, are managed directly from this interface inside Blender.

By handling your pipeline settings locally, you ensure that the remote decentralized nodes replicate your exact workstation environment. This section covers the specific components of the addon, their respective settings, and how to configure them for optimal rendering performance.

## Overview

OctaSpace remote gaming feature based on Linux KDE Plasma Desktop access using Selkies project video/audio streaming with WebRTC protocol which ensures image quality and relatively low input latency. This remote desktop allow you to use any Linux native applications and games like those ones available via Steam as well as some Windows games available via compatibility applications like Proton and Wine. There is preinstalled Steam client, Heroic and Lutris launchers which will help in games installation. You still need to own games to play using remote desktop and have Steam account for Steam access. You can check Octa Games DB [https://games.octa.space/games](https://games.octa.space/games) to find list of games that was tested and will run good on remote Linux desktop. Please note that games that actively using anti-cheat software will not work fine due to detection of virtualization that used to run desktop.

There is two apps available for running remote desktop with gaming support:
**Octa GLX Desktop** - providing better performance for games because of using native X server and Nvidia driver which ensures that game running on native performance.
**Octa EGL Desktop** - providing better compatibility for games because of using virtual X server. Also performance should not be a problem for modern video card.
General rule of thumb when choosing between these two images - if the desired game is not working on one desktop type, please try running it using another one.

## General Usage

Deploy either "**Octa EGL Desktop**" or "**Octa GLX Desktop**" application as described in Marketplace documentation. You will have HTTP link in session details available for accessing desktop. After opening link you will see connection progress during which desktop remote access opened and configured. When connection will establish you will see desktop screen. There is also half-cirlcle button at the right-border of the screen which provide connection details and access to additional settings. For example, you can set video or audio bitrate for optimal performance. Also you can enable "Resize remote to fit window" to have remote desktop automatically scale to your browser window size.

There is a special shortcut "Ctrl+Shift+F" to switch browser window with remote desktop to full screen. After switching to full screen you can press and hold "Esc" key to exit back to windowed mode. Also when gaming in some games that require mouse grab you need to press "Ctrl+Shift+\<Left Mouse Click>" for cursor lock in remote desktop.

## Steam details

Steam client is preinstalled on remote desktop, you can run it from Application > Games menu (as well as other launchers). You will need to login to Steam using your account. If you would like to play games available for Windows only you need to enable "Enable Steam Play for all other title" in Steam settings on Compatibility tab.

## The OctaSpace Marketplace

The OctaSpace Marketplaceis a powerful, decentralized platform designed to streamline the deployment and management of applications across a global network of user-hosted nodes. By utilizing optimized application images, the marketplace enables users to select, configure, and launch complex workloads with minimal technical friction.

### Core Marketplace Workflow

1. **Authentication:** Access the Marketplace using your OctaSpace credentials. You can create a new account via email or use Google, Apple, or GitHub for single sign-on. Authentication is shared between the Marketplace and the Cube.
2. **Account Funding:** Use the **"Top-up balance"** button to add OCTA coins to your marketplace balance. A unique wallet address and QR code will be provided. Note that funds in the Marketplace wallet are for service use and cannot be withdrawn.
3. **Browse Applications:** Navigate to the **Apps** dashboard to find pre-configured application images categorized by use case (AI, Rendering, etc.). Hovering over an application card provides additional descriptions.
4. **Node Selection:** Choose target nodes based on real-time filters such as price, location, hardware specs (CPU/GPU), and benchmark scores (Blender/AI). You can toggle between OCTA and USD pricing for easier cost estimation.
5. **Configure and Deploy:** Customize your deployment by overriding default start commands, using custom Docker images, or adjusting allocated disk size. You can also map specific HTTP, TCP, or UDP ports and set environment variables.
6. **Manage Sessions:** Once deployed, the **Sessions** dashboard provides real-time tracking of active applications, including duration, traffic, and per-minute billing.

## The OctaSpace Cube

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/UGbPac6jYIQ0UrIpCpaED_image.png)

### SSH Access

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/_6FKxYWpeG7ngcYWneqYe_image.png)

For some compatible images WebSSH access is enabled allowing you to have SSH session to running application container directly from your browser. Also regular SSH access could be available using "ssh" command ot GUI tools like PuTTY.

For Web SSH access your console already have tmux running in your session [https://github.com/tmux/tmux/wiki/Getting-Started](https://github.com/tmux/tmux/wiki/Getting-Started) for opening several consoles to running application container if needed. E.g. you can use "Ctrl+b c" to create new console window and "Ctrl+b n", "Ctrl+b p" and "Ctrl+b \<num>" to switch between console windows.
Here is a list of a few basic tmux commands:
Ctrl+b " — split pane horizontally.
Ctrl+b % — split pane vertically.
Ctrl+b arrow key — switch pane.
Hold Ctrl+b, don’t release it and hold one of the arrow keys — resize pane.
Ctrl+b c — (c)reate a new window.
Ctrl+b n — move to the (n)ext window.
Ctrl+b p — move to the (p)revious window.

You can use command "trz /path" to upload files to running application using WebSSH and command "tsz /path/to/file" to download files in this console. For example, if you want to upload some file to your running node session in WebSSH, enter command "trz /path/to/upload" and you will see dialog window to choose wich file to upload from your local system. If path is not specified (command is just "trz"), it will upload to current directory. If you want to download file from your running node session in WebSSH, e.g. "file.ext", enter command "tsz /path/to/file/file.ext" and you will see dialog window to choose where you want to save this file on local system. Or you can just enter "tsz file.ext" if file already in current directory. Please see for the details [https://trzsz.github.io/ ](https://trzsz.github.io/)(R and S in this commands can suggest direction of file transfer, looking from remote node side, tRz - receive file to node session from your local computer, tSz - send file from node session to your local computer).

Regular SSH connection available for container using any SSH client. E.g. you can use OpenSSH connection string like "ssh root\@px-uk-1.octa.computer -p 30053" assuming that your SSH key is in default location. If node provides external IP address, then there is two ssh connection strings provided in node details direct and proxy (via proxy server if no external IP for node).

To use regular SSH access with "ssh" command you should add your SSH Public Key on "Settings" tab of Cube Profile [https://cube.octa.computer/profile ](https://cube.octa.computer/profile)Also there is possibility to update password, set 2FA for account as well as other settings.

- Storage – Hourly rate per GB of allocated disk space
- Traffic – Rate per GB of network traffic used

Example Calculation:

If the base rate is 0.10 OCTA/hour, storage is 0.005 OCTA/GB/hour, and traffic is 0.01 OCTA/GB, then for a session with the following usage:

- Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes (1.5 hours)
- Disk Size: 100 GB
- Traffic Used: 100 GB

The cost would be calculated as:

:::BlockQuote
0.10 × 1.5 + 0.005 × 100 × 1.5 + 0.01 × 100 = 1.9 OCTA
:::

### Render Service

A flat-rate model is used.
Only the base hourly rate is charged.
Disk space and traffic usage are **not included** in the pricing.

### VPN Service

Charges are based **solely on traffic usage**, calculated per GB.

[title] Qubit (QTC) Mining
[path] Marketplace/Mining/

To begin mining Qubitcoin using OctaSpace

Go to the marketplace:

[https://marketplace.octa.space/](https://marketplace.octa.space/)

Under categories, select "Mining" and click "OneZero Miner"

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/uHMDN9qn5gvVTkZxM_mmp_image.png)

You will then be redirected to the nodes selection page where you can choose different nodes to rent by clicking on them.

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/bauwwCOTlv7JNRyP0bBw-_image.png)

You can rent either one or more nodes at the same time by simply clicking them. Once you've made your selection, click Configure button in the top right hand corner.

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/Jn1FGPdMjBSaYFN4BtSDw_image.png "Multiple nodes selected")

We have compiled some sample average hashrates below for different GPU's:

| **GPU**     | **Hashrate** |
| ----------- | ------------ |
| RTX 4090    | 135 KH/s     |
| RTX 5070 Ti | 82 KH/s      |
| RTX 3090    | 80 KH/s      |
| RTX 3080    | 67 KH/s      |
| RTX 5080    | 61.4 KH/s    |
| RTX 4070 Ti | 58.5 KH/s    |
| RTX 5070    | 58 KH/s      |
| RTX 4070    | 53 KH/s      |
| RTX 3070 Ti | 51.5 KH/s    |
| RTX 3070    | 44 KH/       |
| RTX 5060 Ti | 41.4 KH/s    |
| RTX 3060 Ti | 29.2 KH/s    |
| RTX 4060 Ti | 20 KH/s      |
| A2000       | 21.5 KH/s    |

On the configuration page you will need to paste the command in the "Start command" field to start the miner.

:::hint{type="info"}
**Command should be in the form of:**
-a qhash -w address.worker -o stratum

- where **address **represents your Qubit wallet address
- **worker **can be any name
- **stratum **is the closest stratum to connect to

For example:

-a qhash -w bc1q7a892muk3gxc7f48ngyy3kl524g60ytdydnk9u.Octa -o qubitcoin.luckypool.io:8611
:::

Currently LuckyPool is the only pool available for Qubit mining, it is usually recommended to choose the closest stratum to the location of the node. While any stratum will work, the closer the stratum to the physical node location the less delay in submitting shares.

:::hint{type="info"}
Stratum pools:

**Europe **- qubitcoin.luckypool.io:8611

**US **- ca.luckypool.io:8611

**Asia **- hk.luckypool.io:8611

**Russia **- ru.luckypool.io:8611
:::

If you've added everything correctly, it should resemble something like the below.

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/nHgQ7IHJIg4DEC6tbGJJX_image.png)

As can be seen, the command is added, because the node in the screenshot is based in the US, we have chosen ca.luckypool.io:8611 as the stratum.

To begin mining, click "Deploy" button in the top right hand corner.

You will automatically be redirected to the Sessions page:

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/NMICxFiy3OKcwyG-NhZi-_image.png)

Wait until the status changes to "Service configured", it should now be mining.

[title] FAQ
[path] Rendering (OctaRender)/

### Q: Do nodes rented terminate automatically?

**A:** **Yes.** Render nodes are designed to automatically shut down and stop billing as soon as there is no work left for your project.

The system checks for new tasks every two seconds. If the farm reports that no tasks are available, either because the project is fully rendered or because you have paused the job, the nodes will automatically initiate a shutdown sequence.

:::hint{type="danger"}
**Important Note on Pausing: **If you pause a project, the farm immediately stops handing out new tasks. However, if a node is already in the middle of rendering a frame, it will finish that frame completely before shutting down to prevent data loss. On slower GPUs or highly complex scenes, a node may stay online for a short period after you hit pause until its active frame is finalized.
:::

### Q: Can I manually force a node to stop immediately without waiting for a frame to finish?

**A:** Yes. If a node is stuck or you need to instantly terminate a lease without waiting for the active frame to finish, you can go to the [Monitoring page](docId\:HUFuYYPkY3-_m4tLEX1Vj) monitoring page and click the **✕ (Stop Node)** button on that specific node card.

### Q: What happens if a node I rented goes offline or crashes mid-render?

**A:** You only pay for successful compute time. If a decentralized provider node experiences a hardware failure, drops offline, or runs out of system memory during a task, your billing for that specific instance stops immediately. The uncompleted frame task is automatically thrown back into your project queue and re-distributed to your other active nodes so your render can continue without interruption.

### Q: Does the platform support custom third-party Blender addons or extensions?

**A:** Yes, your custom plugins are handled during the packing phase. When you configure your scene parameters within the Blender addon, ensure that you check the settings to include necessary local addon configurations before hitting **"Submit Job."** The packaging tool wraps your dependencies, texturing paths, VDB simulation volumes, and scripting assets into your secure project archive so the remote compute containers have everything they need to execute identical renders.

### Q: What happens if my project runs out of VRAM or system RAM on a rented node?

**A:** If a scene file is too heavy for the machine you selected, the render task will fail with an out-of-memory error. To prevent this, always cross-reference your scene's complexity before renting nodes. You can use the top search and sidebar filter sliders on the [Launch Nodes](docId:37oq-ijJcnlxZSqYondqg) page to isolate high-tier graphics chips (like the *RTX 5090* or *RTX 4090*) or to filter strictly for hosts with substantial system RAM and VRAM capacities.

### Q: Can I download completed frames while the rest of the project is still rendering?

**A:** Yes. If you need to check frame composition or quality early on, you can access the web-portal's [Project Viewer](docId\:BJUdvePzEONI9SKGq8vnq) panel while the job is active. This layout displays your rendered sequence files in real time as they stream to your secure cloud bucket. You can use individual checkboxes to manually select and download specific completed frames immediately without interrupting the remaining active node cluster.

### Q: How long are projects stored for and can be downloaded?

**A:** We store projects for a maximum of **7 days**. After 7 days, the project files and all associated rendered frames will be permanently deleted from our servers to free up storage space. Please make sure to download your completed frames via the Blender addon or the Project Viewer interface before this 7-day window expires.

### Q: Does the OctaRender platform provide privacy for my renders? Can anyone else access my Blender or render files?

**A: Your files are completely secure, private, and accessible only by you.**

We are a high-performance cloud infrastructure provider, not an art-harvesting service. Your files, assets, and intellectual property belong strictly to you.

We protect your data using several layers of platform isolation, encryption, and legal safeguards:

- **Private Key Encryption:** When your project files are transferred to the platform, they are securely linked only to your private farm slot. Access is secured via a unique private key, ensuring that nobody else can access your source files or rendered output.
- **Instant Destruction Data Policy:** The moment your render job ends or is stopped, the compute container is completely destroyed. Your source files are instantly wiped from the node machine and are not stored permanently anywhere on the network providers' hardware.
- **Direct-to-Cloud Output Storage:** Your final rendered frames are never saved to the worker node's local storage disks. Instead, they are immediately streamed and uploaded directly to your private storage dashboard.
- **Strict Provider Compliance:** Every decentralized node provider on our network is bound by strict terms and conditions that legally enforce total data privacy and non-disclosure.
- **A Trusted Industry Track Record:** We serve a large community of professional 3D artists, studio teams, and prominent content creators. We have engineered our rendering workflow with these rigorous safeguards because we take our reputation and your privacy extremely seriously.

### Q: How do I contact the team if I have more questions?

**A:** You can reach out to the team directly through either of our community and support channels:

- **Discord:** Join our dedicated [OctaRender Discord Server](https://discord.gg/5xVqWMnsRs) for real-time support, technical troubleshooting, and community discussions.
- **Telegram:** Connect with us via our [Official Telegram Channel](https://t.me/octa_space) for announcements and quick assistance.

## Terminating Nodes and Managing Sessions

The platform allows for granular control over your cluster slice, enabling you to instantly spin down individual worker nodes if your processing requirements change mid-job or a specific node is experiencing issues.

### Node Disconnection

Each active node card features a termination option directly within its header:

::Image[]{src="https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/l-xMrccGOwgqGEEYuBX18_image.png" size="60" isUploading="false" width="504" height="383" darkWidth="504" darkHeight="383" showCaption="false"}

- **The "Stop Node" Action:** Hovering over the **✕** icon in the upper-right corner of any active card reveals a "Stop node" tooltip.
- **Decentralized Redundancy:** Clicking the close button triggers a safety confirmation modal to prevent accidental data loss. The prompt clarifies exactly how the termination impacts your project pipeline (e.g., *"Stop node #9961? The job keeps rendering on the other nodes."*).

::Image[]{src="https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/SF9lcW3Xyf84njZV_2xgI_image.png" size="80" isUploading="false" width="708" height="497" darkWidth="708" darkHeight="497" showCaption="false"}

- **Execution:**
  - Clicking **Cancel** returns you to the active telemetry grid.
  - Clicking the red **Stop node** action button immediately kills the secure container lease on that specific machine, updates your live **Nodes (GPU)** count, and stops the financial burn rate for that hardware instance. The remaining nodes in your cluster will seamlessly continue processing any distributed rendering frames.

# Overview

This guide is intended to provide detailed instructions on the process of setting up nodes in the new OctaSpace Cube system.

# Pre-requisites

## Hardware

OctaSpace nodes can range from a Raspberry Pi to CPU-only nodes to multi-GPU machines, each of which can be used for different types of services.

Please check the minimum [hardware requirements](docId\:Xmpm0EubOeMnh0J_G4eHz) based on the service you wish to provide.

## Operating system

OctaSpace node software runs on Linux distributions and supports both x86 and ARM64 architectures.

You can find the list of supported OS under [software requirements](docId\:Xmpm0EubOeMnh0J_G4eHz).

Before proceeding further, please ensure that you have set up one of the supported operating systems.

### HiveOS

In cases where NVIDIA GPUs are used, you must ensure that driver version 550 or newest is installed.

It is crucial that the NVIDIA driver and the **libnvidia-gl **or** libnvidia-gl-server** packages have the same minor version.

For example, if the driver version is 550.127.05, the libnvidia-gl-550 package must also have the same version. To check this run the following command:

```bash
apt show libnvidia-gl-550
```

In some cases docker may not start correctly due to IPv6 disable. To enable IPv6 edit /etc/default/grub file and remove** ipv6.disable=1 **in GRUB\_CMDLINE\_LINUX\_DEFAULT option. After run **update-grub **command and restart machine.

## Service Ports and Firewall Configuration

Service ports are primarily used for facilitating the VPN service and providing direct access to services via a web interface that runs on nodes.

In cases where service ports are not configured, all traffic between the node and the end user is, by default, directed through dedicated proxy servers located in the geographical regions closest to the node location.

:::hint{type="info"}
Configuration of service ports is an **optional **process ***ONLY IF NOT*** providing a **VPN **service.
:::

:::hint{type="success"}
Configuring service ports offers benefits such as improved network speeds between the node and the end user, and provides more direct access to the node, resulting in enhanced service quality.
:::

If you do not intend to support VPN or prefer that services be routed through a proxy, you may proceed directly to the installation step.

### Configuration

For service ports to function, a node must have a static public IP address.

Depending on your network configuration, if the node is behind a NAT, you will need to configure port forwarding for a range of service ports on the router. Additionally, if the server has a firewall with a DROP policy for all incoming traffic, you will need to allow traffic to the service ports.

By default, the service port range is 51800–51816. Ensure that these ports are forwarded or opened for both TCP and UDP protocols.

# Installation and configuration

:::hint{type="warning"}
All commands must be run under **root** user
:::

## GPU drivers

### AMD

[Linux® Drivers for AMD Radeon™ Graphics](https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/linux-drivers.html)

[Quick start installation guide](https://rocm.docs.amd.com/projects/install-on-linux/en/latest/install/quick-start.html)

### NVIDIA

```shell
apt install -y nvidia-driver-590
```

## Storage configuration

:::hint{type="danger"}
You can skip storage configuration if you don't require any special settings. The installation script will automatically allocate 80% of the free disk space on the root filesystem for Docker data.

If you prefer to configure storage manually, you can disable the automatic setup by setting the SKIP\_FS\_CONFIG variable: `export SKIP_FS_CONFIG=1`
:::

Every service node need to have disk storage configured. The storage requirements can vary depending on the services that are run on the node, therefore it's important to ensure ample storage is configured.

Storage size depends on services provided by node, please consult [hardware requirements](docId\:Xmpm0EubOeMnh0J_G4eHz).

:::hint{type="success"}
The disk space will be used for various purposes including, docker images, container data as well as support OctaStorage service. Providing ample storage will ensure improved support of services.
:::

Storage partition should be formatted in **XFS **filesystem and mounted on **/var/lib/docker **directory.

Depending on the machine configuration, the number of physical disks, and the presence of a RAID controller, there are multiple ways to configure storage for a service node. Below, we outline several common examples.

Prior to proceeding further, ensure you have installed **xfsprogs** package:

```shell
apt install -y xfsprogs
```

### File based partition through loop device

This method is useful for when a node does not have non allocated disk partitions. We will create file on existing filesystem and mount as partition. In this example we assume that root filesystem (/) has enough free disk space and will use it to store our file based partition.

- Create a 500Gb file that will be used for storage. If you have more spare disk space, set the amount as much as possible.

```shell
fallocate -l 500G /docker-data.img
```

- Format it in XFS filesystem

```shell
mkfs -t xfs /docker-data.img
```

- Mount and make it mounted on system start

```shell
echo "/docker-data.img /var/lib/docker xfs defaults,quota,prjquota,pquota,gquota 0 0" >> /etc/fstab
mkdir /var/lib/docker; mount /var/lib/docker
```

# Install service node software

Install distribution:

```shell
curl https://install.octa.space | bash
```

At the end of the installation, you will be given a unique node token. Use this token to register new node on [https://cube.octa.computer](https://cube.octa.computer)

Go to Hosting->Nodes and click Add Node

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/bdsKzi0GSJqADE8y4GkJt/hC1fKSJyMGA3sAhAkxOZG_image.png)

To make node available on marketplace it is necessary to specify **Reward Address** in profile settings. This address used to receive rewards when node is rented.

## Access to Node Dashboard

Dashboard is available on port 18888.

# Update service node software

- Stop node service

```shell
systemctl stop osn
```

- Update

```shell
curl https://install.octa.space | bash
```

# Uninstall service node software

- Stop and uninstall node service:

```shell
systemctl stop osn
systemctl disable osn
rm -f /etc/systemd/system/osn.service
```

- Remove user and data

```shell
userdel -r octa
```

[title] OpenClaw (Ollama)
[path] Marketplace/AI Tools/OpenClaw/

The **OpenClaw Ollama** flavor is our privacy-first, "all-in-one" deployment. Unlike the Vanilla version that relies on external cloud providers, this version runs entirely on your OctaSpace instance. It features a built-in AI model that handles all reasoning, file operations, and task execution without ever sending your data to a third-party API.

### Powering the Agent: GLM-4.7-Flash

For this version, we have integrated **GLM-4.7-Flash** as the core intelligence engine. We chose this model specifically for its balance of speed and "agentic" capabilities.

While many smaller models struggle to follow complex instructions, GLM-4.7-Flash excels at **tool calling **the process where the AI decides to actually click a button, run a script, or search a file rather than just talking about it.

### Why choose this version?

- **Total Data Sovereignty:** Since the model is hosted locally via Ollama, your messages, code, and sensitive documents never leave your environment.
- **Zero Hidden Costs:** You don't need to sign up for Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google Cloud APIs. There are no per-token fees or monthly AI subscriptions.
- **High Performance:** GLM-4.7-Flash is optimized for low-latency responses, making your autonomous agents feel snappy and responsive even during complex workflows.
- **Minimal Configuration:** This setup is ready to begin tasks out of the box with very little manual intervention required.

### Instructions

**OpenClaw Ollama **can be found in the marketplace ([https://marketplace.octa.space/](https://marketplace.octa.space/)) under the section Artificial Intelligence.

| HiveOS       | ✅           | -           |

***Preferred Operation System is Ubuntu 24.04 Server***

## Hardware requirements

### VPN

Minimal system requirements for VPN nodes

- 1 CPU
- 1 Gb RAM
- 10 Gb free disk space
- Static IPv4 address

### Compute

Preferred system requirements for Compute nodes

- 8 CPU cores
- 32 Gb RAM
- 500 Gb free disk space
- GPU NVIDIA RTX 30 Series

### Rendering

:::hint{type="info"}
Rendering is an intensive process which utilizes not just GPU's but **all system resources **in the processing and rendering frames.
:::

:::hint{type="warning"}
Lower core CPU's are still supported, however will reduce the efficiency of the rendering process.

[title] Terms & Conditions
[path] /

**Last updated:** 30/07/2026
**Effective date:** 30/07/2026

These Terms and Conditions, together with any policies, rules, guidelines, or notices referenced here, form a legally binding agreement between you and OctaSpace regarding your access to and use of the Services.

By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, connecting a wallet, installing or running OctaSpace software, or otherwise participating in the network, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

# 1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the website, applications, node software, dashboards, and services operated by OctaSpace ("OctaSpace," "we," "us," or "our"), including the OctaSpace compute marketplace, the decentralized VPN, the OctaRender distributed rendering platform, the Marketplace dashboard, and any related software, APIs, or documentation (collectively, the "Services").

The Services connect two categories of participants in a peer to peer network: individuals and organizations who make computing hardware available for rental, VPN exit routing, and/or distributed rendering ("Node Providers"), and individuals and organizations who rent that hardware, route traffic through it, or submit rendering jobs to it ("Users"). A single account may act as both a Node Provider and a User at different times. "You" refers to either, depending on context, and where a provision applies only to one role, it is labeled accordingly.

By creating an account, downloading or installing OctaSpace node software, connecting a wallet, or otherwise accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any service specific guides or policies referenced in these Terms (together, the "Agreement"). If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Services.

If you are entering into this Agreement on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity, in which case "you" and "your" refer to that entity.

OctaSpace operates as a decentralized network with no single centralized owner of the underlying hardware. Certain functions of the Services, such as the website, node software, matching engine, billing systems, and dispute handling, are developed, operated, or coordinated by OctaSpace or parties acting on its behalf. References in this Agreement to "OctaSpace" mean the operators of those functions from time to time.

# 2. Definitions

**"Node"** means a physical or virtual machine made available to the OctaSpace network by a Node Provider through OctaSpace node software.

**"Node Software"** means the client software published by OctaSpace that Node Providers install to connect their hardware to the network, accept Sessions, run Idle Jobs, and receive payment.

**"Session"** means a discrete period during which a User rents, controls, or otherwise makes active use of a Node or a set of Nodes, whether for compute rental, VPN routing, or rendering.

**"Idle Jobs"** means the optional facility described in Section 5.5 through which a Node Provider may run background workloads on a Node while it is not otherwise rented, and which is automatically paused and resumed around rental Sessions.

**"Reliability Score"** means the platform calculated rating assigned to each Node reflecting its historical uptime, stability, and adherence to this Agreement, as described in Section 5.4.

**"Docker Image"** means a containerized application template, whether published in the OctaSpace catalogue or sourced by a User from a third party registry such as Docker Hub, that is deployed onto a Node during a Session.

**"Virtual Machine"** means a full virtual machine, including where supported a virtual machine with GPU passthrough, made available on a Node in place of or alongside container based workloads.

**"USDC"** means the USD Coin stablecoin, used as described in Section 5.3 to pay Node Providers via the Base network.

**"Marketplace"** means the unified dashboard and marketplace interface through which Users and Node Providers manage credentials, billing, active Sessions, node configuration, and service selection across the compute, VPN, and rendering products. References in OctaSpace documentation to the "Cube" refer to the same interface as the Marketplace.

**"Content"** means any data, files, code, Docker Images, Virtual Machine images, models, or other material uploaded, transmitted, processed, or generated by a User in connection with a Session.

# 3. Description of the OctaSpace Platform

OctaSpace operates a decentralized physical infrastructure network ("DePIN") that aggregates independently owned hardware into a unified marketplace. OctaSpace does not itself own or operate the majority of the underlying hardware. It provides the software, matching, billing, and account infrastructure that connects Node Providers and Users. OctaSpace is a facilitator of these transactions and, except where expressly stated, is not a party to the rental, VPN, or rendering relationship between a Node Provider and a User.

## 3.1 Compute Marketplace

The marketplace allows Users to browse available Nodes and rent them by the session. Users may launch a ready made Docker Image from the OctaSpace catalogue or bring their own image from a third party registry such as Docker Hub. Certain Nodes also support full Virtual Machines, including GPU passthrough, for workloads requiring deeper isolation or full operating system access. The network spans multiple hardware architectures, including NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel devices. Node Providers set their own pricing, expressed as a base price per hour, a storage price per GB, and a traffic price per GB.

## 3.2 Decentralized VPN

Participating Nodes may act as VPN exit points, allowing Users to route traffic through geographically distributed hardware using one or more supported protocols. VPN service is billed on a pay per GB basis with no monthly subscription, as described in the applicable pricing page, and is subject to the acceptable use restrictions in Section 7.

## 3.3 OctaRender (Distributed Rendering)

OctaRender allows a User to rent multiple Nodes simultaneously and distribute a single rendering job across them to reduce wall clock render time. Node Providers who opt in to rendering make their hardware available to be allocated, alongside other Nodes, to a User's render job for its duration. OctaRender includes supporting tools such as scene diagnostics and live render monitoring, which are provided on an "as is" basis and are not a guarantee of render outcome or accuracy.

## 3.4 AI Tools and Remote Desktop

Where offered, the Services may allow Users to deploy AI agents or models on rented capacity, or to access a rented Node through a remote desktop or streaming interface for general computing or gaming use. These features are subject to the same acceptable use, Content, and security obligations that apply to other Sessions under this Agreement.

## 3.5 The Marketplace Dashboard

The Marketplace is the account dashboard through which Users and Node Providers manage credentials, billing, active Sessions, node configuration, and service selection across the marketplace, VPN, and rendering products.

# 4. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, and capable of forming a binding contract, to use the Services. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to create an account or otherwise use the Services under any circumstances.

You agree to provide accurate and current information when creating an account and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and any wallet connected to your account, and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must promptly notify OctaSpace of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. OctaSpace is not obligated to retain a record of your account, Content, or configuration data beyond what is necessary to operate the Services and comply with applicable law.

OctaSpace may decline to open, or may suspend, an account where required to comply with law, including applicable sanctions and anti money laundering requirements, or where OctaSpace reasonably suspects fraud or a violation of this Agreement.

# 5. Node Provider Terms

This Section 5 applies to you whenever you make hardware available to the network as a Node Provider, in addition to the general terms elsewhere in this Agreement.

## 5.1 Onboarding and Benchmarking

When you connect a Node, OctaSpace runs an automated benchmark to score the hardware across CPU, GPU, network throughput, and AI performance, among other parameters. This score is used to inform how your Node is presented in the marketplace and matched to Users. You represent that all hardware specifications, benchmark conditions, and configuration information you provide, or that your Node reports, are accurate and are not manipulated, spoofed, virtualized to misrepresent capability, or otherwise falsified. Submitting simulated, spoofed, or otherwise misrepresented hardware specifications is a material breach of this Agreement.

## 5.2 Selection of Services

You may choose which of the following services your Node participates in, in any combination: (a) rental through the compute marketplace, (b) VPN exit routing, and (c) rendering. You may change your selection at any time through the Marketplace, though changes will not interrupt a Session already in progress.

## 5.3 Payment to Node Providers

Node Providers are paid in USDC on the Base network. Payment for a Session is settled upon completion of that Session, meaning when the User terminates it or it otherwise ends in accordance with the applicable pricing and billing rules. OctaSpace deducts a platform fee of twenty percent (20%) from Session proceeds. You are responsible for providing a valid, compatible wallet address to receive payment and for any taxes arising from amounts you receive.

## 5.4 Reliability Score

Each Node is assigned a Reliability Score that increases over time as the Node remains online and stable, and decreases when the Node goes offline, becomes unstable, or is found to violate this Agreement. Reliability Score influences your Node's visibility and ranking in the marketplace. You are solely responsible for maintaining the uptime, connectivity, and stability of your Node in order to preserve service quality for Users and your own Reliability Score. OctaSpace is not responsible for lost earnings resulting from downtime, instability, or a resulting drop in Reliability Score.

## 5.5 Idle Jobs

When a Node is not actively rented, you may opt to run Idle Jobs, OctaSpace's supplied facility for utilizing idle capacity. Idle Jobs are automatically paused when a rental Session begins on that Node and automatically resumed once the Session ends, so that Users receive the full performance of the hardware they are paying for.

You must not run any workload of your own, or any third party workload, on a Node that is listed for rental other than through the Idle Jobs facility. Running background mining, computation, or any other process outside of Idle Jobs on a Node available for rental, in a manner that consumes CPU, GPU, memory, storage, or network resources a User is paying for, is a material breach of this Agreement, regardless of whether a Session is currently active.

## 5.6 Prohibited Node Provider Conduct

In addition to the obligations above, when providing a Node to the network you must not:

- Simultaneously run other decentralized compute, rendering, or VPN node or provider software on the same hardware in a way that allows that hardware to be rented, VPN routed, or allocated to jobs by more than one platform at the same time as OctaSpace;
- Falsify, spoof, or misrepresent hardware specifications, benchmark results, location, or capability;
- Access, copy, monitor, intercept, or attempt to access any Content, data, communications, or activity of a User during a rental, VPN, or rendering Session, or otherwise interfere with the isolation and privacy of a Session;
- Interrupt, throttle, or degrade a Session other than through legitimate application of the Idle Jobs pause and resume mechanism or a genuine hardware or network fault outside your control;
- Use the platform to facilitate, launder, or disguise any illegal activity; or
- Engage in any other activity that materially affects the experience, security, or privacy of Users or the integrity of the network.

OctaSpace may monitor Node telemetry and marketplace activity for compliance with this Section, but is under no obligation to do so and does not guarantee that every instance of prohibited conduct will be detected.

## 5.7 Privacy Obligations of Node Providers

You acknowledge that Users running Docker Images, Virtual Machines, VPN traffic, or render jobs on your Node may process confidential or personal data. You must respect the privacy of that activity, must not attempt to view, extract, log, or exfiltrate User Content or traffic, and must not use your position as a Node Provider to gain unauthorized access to User systems, credentials, or data. This obligation survives the completion of any Session and continues to apply to residual data on your hardware.

## 5.8 Suspension and Termination of Nodes

OctaSpace may suspend or permanently ban a Node, and may withhold or reverse associated payouts to the extent permitted by law and reasonably necessary to remediate harm or fraud, where OctaSpace determines, in its reasonable discretion, that the Node Provider has violated this Agreement, including the obligations in Sections 5.1, 5.5, 5.6, or 5.7. Where practicable, OctaSpace will notify you of the reason for suspension or ban and provide a means to contest the decision, except where doing so would compromise an investigation, security, or the safety of Users.

# 6. End User Terms

This Section 6 applies to you whenever you rent a Node, route traffic through the VPN, or submit a rendering job, in addition to the general terms elsewhere in this Agreement.

## 6.1 Renting Compute, Docker Images, and Virtual Machines

You may launch a Docker Image from the OctaSpace catalogue or from a third party registry such as Docker Hub, or a full Virtual Machine where supported, onto a rented Node. You are solely responsible for the Content and workloads you run, for ensuring you have all necessary rights to any image, model, dataset, or software you deploy, and for configuring reasonable security around anything you deploy. Because the underlying hardware is provided by independent Node Providers rather than OctaSpace, you should avoid storing highly sensitive data on a rented Node beyond the duration of your Session and should follow the security practices described in our documentation.

Node Providers are contractually prohibited from accessing your Content or activity during a Session (Section 5.7). However, you acknowledge that OctaSpace's control over independently owned hardware is inherently different from that of a fully centralized cloud provider, and you accept the risk profile described in Section 13 in exchange for the benefits of the decentralized marketplace.

## 6.2 Use of the Decentralized VPN

When you use the VPN service, you route internet traffic through independently operated Nodes configured as VPN exit points by Node Providers. You must comply with Section 7 (Acceptable Use) at all times. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the VPN complies with the laws of your jurisdiction and the jurisdiction in which the exit Node is located. You acknowledge that OctaSpace does not own, operate, or control the exit Nodes, and cannot guarantee the privacy, security, logging practices, or performance of any specific exit Node. Node Providers are contractually prohibited from intercepting or logging VPN traffic under Section 5.9, but you accept the inherent risks of routing traffic through decentralized, independently operated hardware.

## 6.3 Use of OctaRender

Where you submit rendering jobs, you retain all right, title, and interest in the scene files, assets, and rendered output you submit, subject to the limited license in Section 9 needed for OctaSpace and the allocated Nodes to perform the rendering service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to any assets included in a render job.

## 6.4 Use of AI Tools and Remote Desktop

Where you deploy an AI agent or model, or use a remote desktop or gaming interface on a rented Node, you remain solely responsible for the Content processed, the configuration and security of that Content, and for ensuring your use complies with Section 7 and any third party terms applicable to the software or models you deploy.

## 6.5 Marketplace Wallet Deposits

Users must deposit funds into their marketplace wallet in USDC on the Base network prior to initiating Sessions. All deposits are final and non-refundable. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any deposit is made in the correct currency (USDC) and on the correct network (Base). Deposits made in any other currency (including but not limited to ETH, USDT, or USDC on any network other than Base) are not supported, cannot be processed into your marketplace wallet, and cannot be retrieved by OctaSpace. OctaSpace does not charge fees on deposits.

## 6.6 Payment by Users and Refunds

You agree to pay all fees associated with the Sessions you initiate, calculated according to the Node Provider's published pricing (base price per hour, storage per GB, and traffic per GB) plus the OctaSpace platform fee of twenty percent (20%), as shown to you before or at the start of a Session. Funds are drawn from your marketplace wallet balance. All fees and deposits are non-refundable. OctaSpace reserves the right to correct any pricing or billing errors, even where payment has already been requested or received.

# 7. Acceptable Use Policy

This Section applies to all Users and Node Providers. You must not use the Services, and must not permit the Services to be used, to:

- Violate any applicable law or regulation, or facilitate the violation of law by another party;
- Access, transmit, store, or distribute content that is illegal, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material, content that infringes third party intellectual property, or content that facilitates fraud, hacking, or unauthorized access to systems;
- Use rented capacity to run workloads on behalf of a competing decentralized compute, VPN, or rendering network;
- Launch attacks against third party systems, including denial of service attacks, unauthorized penetration testing, malware distribution, or credential stuffing;
- Circumvent, disable, decompile, reverse engineer, or otherwise interfere with security features, benchmarking, billing, or Reliability Score mechanisms of the Services;
- Systematically scrape, harvest, or extract data from the Services, or use automated means to create accounts, without OctaSpace's prior written permission;
- Use the Services to develop, train, or improve a competing decentralized compute, VPN, or rendering product;
- Use the VPN service to route traffic for illegal purposes, to evade law enforcement, or to access content or services in violation of the terms of the destination service or applicable law;
- Send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or engage in phishing, or impersonate any person or entity; or
- Put OctaSpace, Node Providers, or other Users in legal, regulatory, or reputational jeopardy through the use of the Services.

## 7.1 Monitoring and Detection

OctaSpace does not continuously monitor or log the content of what Users run on rented Nodes, the destinations of VPN traffic, or the substance of a Session, and does not have real time visibility into activity across the network. Given the decentralized nature of the Services and the fact that Nodes are operated by independent Node Providers, it is not practical for OctaSpace to review or pre-approve activity as it happens. As a result, OctaSpace's ability to identify a violation of this Agreement is typically limited to what is reported to us or discovered after the fact, including through reports from Node Providers, other Users, third parties, payment or infrastructure partners, or law enforcement and regulatory authorities.

## 7.2 Enforcement and Account Suspension

Because it is not possible to anticipate every way in which the Services could be misused, OctaSpace retains broad discretion to investigate, restrict, suspend, or terminate any account, Session, or Node, remove Content, and withhold or reverse associated payouts to the extent permitted by law, where OctaSpace reasonably believes, based on the information available to it at the time, including the reports described in Section 7.1, that a User or Node Provider has violated this Agreement, attempted to exploit or abuse the Services, used a Node or the VPN for an unlawful or harmful purpose, or otherwise put OctaSpace, Node Providers, or other Users at risk. These determinations are made on a case by case basis using the information reasonably available to OctaSpace, and OctaSpace is not required to complete an exhaustive investigation before acting, particularly where prompt action is needed to prevent harm or comply with a legal request.

OctaSpace will cooperate with law enforcement and regulatory authorities in connection with lawful requests, investigations, or reports of suspected criminal or otherwise unlawful use of the Services, and may disclose account, Session, or Node information as required by law or in response to valid legal process. Where practicable and legally permitted, OctaSpace will notify an affected User or Node Provider of an enforcement action and its general basis, but may withhold that notice, or act without prior notice, where doing so would compromise an investigation, safety, or security.

As between OctaSpace and a User or Node Provider, you remain solely responsible for your own conduct, Content, and workloads on the Services. OctaSpace does not review or endorse activity that takes place within a Session and does not act as a guarantor of any User's or Node Provider's behavior. As between Users and Node Providers, OctaSpace is under no general obligation to become involved in a dispute between them, other than through the enforcement mechanisms described in this Agreement, and OctaSpace's decision not to act in a given instance does not waive its rights under this Agreement.

# 8. Export Control and Sanctions Compliance

You represent that you are not located in, organized under the laws of, or ordinarily resident in any country or region subject to comprehensive trade sanctions, and that you are not identified on any restricted party or denied persons list maintained by the United Nations, the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or any other jurisdiction with authority over your use of the Services.

You agree not to use the Services to export, re-export, or provide access to controlled technology, or to any end use restricted under applicable export control or sanctions law, without first obtaining any required government authorization. OctaSpace may suspend or terminate access to the Services immediately, and without prior notice, where it reasonably believes a transaction or account violates this Section.

# 9. Intellectual Property

OctaSpace and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in the Services, including the node software, dashboard, marketplace, the OctaRender platform, and all associated trademarks and branding. Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, OctaSpace grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for their intended purpose.

As between OctaSpace and a User, the User retains ownership of Content they upload or generate through the Services. The User grants OctaSpace and the allocated Node or Nodes a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that Content solely as necessary to provide the requested Session. As between OctaSpace and a Node Provider, the Node Provider retains ownership of their hardware and grants OctaSpace a limited license to schedule, meter, and bill Sessions on that hardware in accordance with this Agreement.

If you send OctaSpace feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Services, you agree that OctaSpace may use that feedback for any purpose without obligation or compensation to you.

If you believe content accessible through the Services infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please contact us at hello\@octa.space with a description of the work claimed to be infringed, the material you believe is infringing and its location within the Services, your contact details, and a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized. OctaSpace may remove or disable access to material in response to a credible notice and may suspend the accounts of repeat infringers.

# 10. Third Party Content and Services

The Services allow you to access or deploy Docker Images, models, datasets, and other material sourced from third party registries and platforms, such as Docker Hub, and may link to third party websites or services. OctaSpace does not review, endorse, or take responsibility for third party Content, images, or services, and your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their own terms. If you leave the Services to use a third party website or service, this Agreement no longer governs that use.

# 11. Privacy and Data

Our collection and use of personal data in connection with the Services is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into this Agreement by reference. By using the Services, you consent to the practices described there.

Node Providers acknowledge that OctaSpace may collect telemetry from Node Software, such as performance, uptime, and benchmark data, to operate the marketplace, calculate Reliability Score, and detect violations of this Agreement, but that such telemetry is not used to access the substance of User Content or Sessions.

# 12. Payments and Digital Assets

The Services involve the use of cryptocurrency, including payments to Node Providers in USDC on the Base network and marketplace wallet deposits by Users in USDC on the Base network. You are solely responsible for the security of your own wallets and private keys. OctaSpace cannot recover funds lost due to lost credentials, user error, or third party wallet or exchange failures.

Digital assets are volatile and involve risk, including regulatory risk. Nothing in this Agreement or in OctaSpace's marketing materials constitutes investment, financial, tax, or legal advice, and no statement about any digital asset used within the Services should be relied upon as a promise of value, return, or future performance. You are responsible for complying with the laws applicable to your use, holding, or transfer of digital assets in your jurisdiction.

# 13. Disclaimers of Warranties

THE SERVICES, INCLUDING ALL NODES, ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Because Nodes are independently owned and operated by third party Node Providers rather than OctaSpace, OctaSpace does not guarantee the uptime, performance, security, or availability of any specific Node, and does not guarantee that Node Providers will comply with this Agreement at all times, although OctaSpace uses benchmarking, Reliability Scoring, and enforcement mechanisms designed to encourage compliance. Similarly, OctaSpace does not guarantee that Users will use rented capacity, the VPN, or the rendering platform lawfully or appropriately, although Node Providers benefit from the isolation, monitoring, and enforcement mechanisms described in this Agreement.

# 14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OCTASPACE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THIS AGREEMENT OR THE SERVICES, EVEN IF OCTASPACE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

# 15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless OctaSpace, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your breach of this Agreement; (b) your Content or workloads, including any Docker Image or Virtual Machine you deploy; (c) your use of the VPN or rendering platform in violation of Section 7; or (d), if you are a Node Provider, your Node's non-compliance with Sections 5.1, 5.5, 5.6, or 5.7.

# 16. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time, subject to completing any active Sessions and outstanding payment obligations. OctaSpace may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, in whole or in part, immediately and without prior notice where you have materially breached this Agreement, where required by law, or where necessary to protect the security or integrity of the Services, Node Providers, or Users.

If OctaSpace terminates or suspends your account, you are prohibited from registering or creating a new account under your name, a false or borrowed name, or the name of any third party, even if acting on behalf of that third party. In addition to suspending or terminating an account, OctaSpace reserves the right to pursue appropriate legal action, including civil, criminal, and injunctive remedies, where warranted.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including Sections 5.7, 7.1, 7.2, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15, and 17, will survive.

# 17. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

OctaSpace operates as a decentralized network without a fixed jurisdictional headquarters. As such, this Agreement is not subject to the exclusive governing law of any single jurisdiction, and no specific court or arbitration venue is designated for the resolution of disputes.

OctaSpace will comply with lawful requests from law enforcement and regulatory authorities, and may disclose information, suspend Services, or take other action as required by applicable law or valid legal process. Where practicable and legally permitted, OctaSpace will notify an affected User or Node Provider of such action, but may withhold notice or act without prior notice where doing so would compromise an investigation, safety, or security.

As between Users and Node Providers, or between a User or Node Provider and any other third party, OctaSpace is under no obligation to become involved in a dispute. You release OctaSpace, its officers, employees, agents, and successors from claims, demands, and damages of every kind, known or unknown, arising out of or in any way related to such disputes, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

# 18. Changes to These Terms

OctaSpace may update this Agreement from time to time. Where changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice, such as by posting a notice on our website or notifying you through the Marketplace or by email, before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement.

[title] Verification
[path] Hosting/

# Overview

Ensuring that your node infrastructure operates smoothly and reliably is crucial for providing high-quality services to end-users. From time to time, we conduct re-verification checks on verified nodes, so it's essential to keep an eye on the status of your nodes to avoid them being changed to unverified.

What exactly we are checking to be sure that the node is properly configured:

- System clock is synchronized
- All necessary network ports are open
- GPU driver is correctly installed
- Hardware requirement are met

The following restrictions are applied for the unverified nodes:

- Nodes can't provide services
- Nodes can't participate in staking

If a node fails verification, it must be corrected, and the OSN service restarted to initiate the verification process again.
