Roadmap
OctaSpace operates based on an agile approach with a strategic roadmap which is planned and determined on an annual basis. This strategic roadmap outlines a framework of areas we’re focusing on for the year. We plan work in Program Increments where we break the year up into 5 increments. Ahead of each we examine market opportunities and also innovations we can bring to market within the framework. We adopt an agile approach, where on top of new services we also have a continuous improvement process where we release updates and features to existing services such as the rendering platform and focus on areas which provide increased opportunities for revenue growth. Since we're a service provider and not a fixed or short term project, we are constantly updating our services and releasing new services in line with the agile approach. The following overarching strategic goals have been set-out for 2025 and include:
Revenue generation
Following the release of the new OctaSpace marketplace and cube in 2024/25, our primary focus is increase in users, adoption of services and revenue. This will be achieved by expanding our service range inside the marketplace including a wealth of new apps, finding new opportunites based on demand and creating easy-to-launch services.
Gaming
Following the initial pilot release of our remote gaming feature, in 2025 we will continue to work to expand this by investing in further research and development to create an environment where users can launch AAA games remotely.
This will also be combined with the launch of a gaming portal where users can check games compatibility reports.
Platform
As we focus on making OctaSpace one of the most advanced platforms in the market, we're also focusing on expanding our features and technology to meet the demands of the computing market and aspects which will make OctaSpace a leading platform for the future of computing services.
The following are just some of those key aspects:
- Introduce rental clustering feature, can be used to build ML and LLM clusters using rented machines
- Improve marketplace and cube usability, more logs, filters, improve workload with started apps, add users apps
- Introduce serverless feature to expose LLM/services APIs
- Improve support of launching mining software
- Improve tools to access platform: command line tool, SDK
- Better hardware support including Intel GPUs
Rendering Platform
WIth the release of OctaRender in Q4 of 2024, one of the most advanced and dynamic rendering platforms in the world, we have set a new standard in rendering functionality and features. In 2025 however, we will continue to focus on releasing new improvements to the render platform by expanding support for new version of Blender as well as exploring potential for support for other 3D suites, making OctaRender one of the most versatile and leading platforms in the rendering market.
