Install add-on
OctaSpace employs the Flamenco render management solution, which is developed with support from the Blender® project and is actively utilized in production at Blender Studio.
Rendering tasks are initiated within Blender and directly transmitted to OctaSpace nodes via a dedicated add-on that requires node information. To use this system for rendering, it's essential to install the add-on in Blender beforehand.
You can download the add-on using the below link or directly from the rendering interface (skip to next section if you prefer that approach). Please keep a note of the download location on you local machine.
DO NOT UNZIP OR MODIFY THE ADD-ON.
Once you have downloaded the add-on, open up Blender®.
Go to Edit -> Preferences
Choose "Add-ons" and click "Install".
Browse to the location where you downloaded the add-on, select the file and click "Install Add-on"
The Add-on should now be installed. Perform a final verification and ensure that the add-on is enabled.
Untick the "Enabled Add-ons Only", search for "Flamenco" and if not enabled, place a tick next to it.
The add-on is now successfully installed, enabled and ready to be configured for rendering.
